White Chalk Design was established 25 years ago by principal designer Serena Elise and is a multi-discipline interior design practice located in Brighton.
We work collaboratively with home & business owners, architects & builders to deliver a style that is sophisticated and contemporary in details, blended with bold statements, textures and finishes.
Serena oversees her design team on multiple projects at any given time, and has won numerous industry awards for kitchen and bathroom design, plus awards for a host of commercial hotel spaces. Her diverse experience in both residential and commercial interiors allows a creation of the best of both ventures – from private residences that feel unique and individual, to commercial projects that channel luxury and longevity in the design detailing.
Serena has designed her own fabric and custom rug range for White Chalk Design, which has been welcomed by her clients who crave an individual aesthetic.
Always the passionate traveller, Serena’s design aesthetic and inspiration is often found in “bucket list” travel destinations. She also credits design fairs and trade shows in many worldwide locations, as a major source of success for staying ahead of the design trends.

Amy Blight, Interior Designer & Stylist
Amy joined WCD at the beginning of 2021 as an Interior Designer. Completing her Diploma of Interior Designer and Decoration in 2014, Amy has since worked within the industry as a selections consultant and an Interior Designer as well as owing her own homewares company. With a solid flair for design and styling, her role is diverse. Amy believes that styling your home should not only showcase your personality but allow you to have key signature pieces that stand the test of time.
